  4. I have learnt that there are very important factors to have good teamwork. These factors are cooperation, communication, discussion, contribution, planning and leadership. With these and being friendly to each other, we can have great teamwork.
I felt that the different activities we participated in gave us an insight to teamwork.

I've learnt that we need to plan before whatever we do and without planning we're planned to fail. Cooperation , communication and contribution are also essential in a group work. Leadership skills are also required. After all the games and activities , we knew more about one another.

  7. I learnt that we need planning and not just jump into the challenge, if not we would not be able to finish the challenge. We also need teamwork and respect for one another to pass the obstacle or test.

  8. We were taught to plan and strategise using games such as the "scavenger hunt" and dodgeball. Teamwork and communication are vital in team games. The games during orientation bonded us and I hope to get to know each other better in the future.

  9. In all the games we had participated, there was a meaning behind and through our experience in the games, we managed to find the meaning. Every meaning points to a different factor in our secondary school life and helps us along our way in our secondary school life.

  11. I learnt that behind every game we played there is a meaning behind it. Each of them are very important to us. In the games leadership is displayed when one of us step up to lead. Communication is required, if not we will not listen to one another and cannot complete the task. Planning is another important factor, without it we will not be organised and dive straight into the task head on and not be able to complete it. :D

  13. Afiq:

I've learnt that to succeed in something as a class, we would have to know one another well. Im not referring to only the names, but the personality as well. We would have to be sensitive towards others if we say or do something. Communication is one of the key points to success. We could not complete things if we are in a group and no one says anything because they are shy etc. We must be brave to speak if you want to contribute in completing the activities.

  14. As it was the first time I have ever met any of my classmates,it was a little hard to socialise and treat each other as friends(most likely because we are bound more to our old friendship in primary school). However there being group activities that required everyones help and ideas,I soon learnt that if I were to to face problems alone,I would never succed but with friends,we can support, encourage and help each other. The games we played were just to teach us how to apply real life social skills and help us foster friendship between each other. The more we realised that we needed each other, the faster we would be more open to others and accpet each other as we are.

  15. I learnt to plan and strategise before any activity, and having teamwork is also an important key to success. We also need good communication to successfully complete tasks. There was something to learn behind every game and it will help us in our secondary school life. Lastly, I also learnt that being friendly will not only help you out in the activities, they also let you achieved thing that can't be done alone. =)

  16. I learnt that we must be familiar with other people to understand one another and plan out strategies. If we don't know each other, it would be difficult to co-ordinate and plan.

  17. I learnt to plan and strategise before anything as if not, everything will go hay-wire.Teamwork as a CLASS ,not small group, meant being able to co-operate with more people which is tough.Communication is necessary between us to ensure plans, tasks and projects are carried out correctly.

  20. The first day of school taught me lots of things, such as Teamwork and Planning.

When the class was playing the games, it required lots of cooperation and teamwork. If not, we would fail to complete the task. One good example was the Flip-over-the-Mat activity. If everyone did not jump at the same time, we could not pull the mat and flip it over. I must say we did quite well at the activity, even though we did not manage to complete it.

However, we lacked something important: planning. We would sometimes just jump straight into the activity and not plan at all, which is why we did not do that well in some games that required planning. But at least we knew our mistake, so we could improve on that.

One final thing is that the class realised our main problem: we all love talking. We hardly listen too each other and sometimes even the teacher’s instruction. But look on the bright side: since now we know our mistake, we can make the effort to correct it.

  21. I think the first day of orientation was a complicated one especially when the whole of 04 had to stand on a mat and flip it over without stepping off. We tried our best but failed as we had not prepared properly. We could have done a better job. But the main point of the day was more of socialising than the activities. To sum it all up it was a great day.

  22. I enjoyed the first day of orientation a lot thanks to the PSLs and teachers who guided us throughout the activities. I now know more about my classmates whom I hope to make friends with over the next few years.
